The American Legion Auxiliary Supporting Veterans and our Community

The American Legion Auxiliary, founded in 1919 is a volunteer-based organization with nearly 550,000 members. It administers numerous programs, volunteers countless hours and raises millions of dollars to support veterans and their families.

Unit 179 of San Anselmo, formed in 2010, is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-discriminatory, and nonprofit organization with 501(c)(19) tax-exempt status dedicated to serving military personnel, veterans, and their families.
